As of Thursday, April 2, 2020, there have been 12 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jefferson County (8 active, 4 recovered). Over 5000 West Virginians have been tested, with a total of 217 confirmed cases in our state.

You can help slow the spread of COVID-19 by practicing social distancing. This means reducing the number of places you go, people you interact with, and how physically close you get to others. During the governor’s stay-at-home order, everyone should limit the number of trips outside their home as much as possible – go out only if you are providing or procuring essential services. While you are out try to keep a distance of 6 feet between yourself and other people. When you return home, wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Thank you all for helping to keep our county safe and healthy.
