As part of our social distancing measures at Jefferson County Health Department, we will be requiring appointments for all clinical services. We do not anticipate this will significantly impact our ability to provide vital public health services as we already require appointments for immunizations, family planning, and STD testing. We will temporarily not accept walk-ins for TB screening, blood pressure testing, and head lice checks.

We also ask that our patients limit the number of people they bring with them to their appointment, with the goal of reducing the number of people in our waiting room as much as possible. Immunization patients under 18 will still need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, but other patients should come to their appointment alone if possible, or ask family and friends to stay home or wait in the car.

Thank you for helping us keep our community safe. Together, we can slow the spread of COVID-19, reduce it’s impact on our most vulnerable friends and neighbors, and save lives.
