As required by §64-51-9 of the Bureau for Public Health Legislative Rule, Health Departments are required to advertise to make the public aware and receive public comment regarding proposed fees for its services.
The Jefferson County Health Department is proposing to increase the Reinspection Fee currently charged from $35.00 to $75.00. The starting salaries for Sanitarians have increased 67% and this rate increase is necessary to support the current salaries.
Also proposed is a late fee of 25% of the unpaid Fee for all expired permits listed in 64CSR30 to be applied when a payment is not received within 10 days of the expiration date. This fee will be utilized to offset the additional cost incurred in collecting late fees.
