COVID-19 Vaccine Information
The Jefferson County Health Department and many pharmacies and some medical practices are administering COVID-19 vaccines. Vaccination is one of the important ways to protect yourself and the community from COVID-19 infection. Fewer people who have been vaccinated develop COVID-19 and vaccinated people who do get an infection usually have much less likely severe illness than unvaccinated people. The vaccines are available at no cost to the individual.
For the latest Health Department information on the COVID-19 vaccine, including booster information, please visit our “COVID-19 Vaccine Info” page by clicking HERE.
We will be offering the Novavax Adjuvant COVID-19 vaccine. It is a two dose series, three weeks between doses, for ages 18 years and older. It will be available beginning August 10, 2022. Contact the JCHD to schedule an appointment.
