Beginning next week (2/1-2/5), each county will begin receiving first doses of vaccine again instead of using the regional approach for vaccine distribution that has been in place the last few weeks. We will begin having Community Vaccination clinics in Jefferson County for the 65 and older population next week. We will be working with our existing waitlist to schedule appointments for our clinics. All of our clinics will be by appointment only. Due to a limited supply of vaccine, it will still take time to get to everyone on our waitlist, so please be patient.

County waitlists have not been uploaded into the Statewide registration system yet, but when they are, they will have priority over new registrants. We will be going down our waitlist for all of our clinics until it is uploaded into the new State system and we will continue to work down the waitlist even after it has been entered. There is no need to register in the State’s system if you are already on our waitlist for 65 and older wanting vaccine. For anyone not on our waitlist that is 18 and over that would like to pre-register for vaccine, you may do so on the WV DHHR vaccine webpage or by calling 833-734-0965.

With a limited vaccine supply at first, vaccines in West Virginia will be distributed to individuals in high-risk settings such as healthcare, emergency response, long-term care facilities, and community infrastructure.
