Jefferson County Health Department will be administering vaccines at our office on two Thursdays in May – the 17th and the 24th – from 1:00-7:00pm. No appointment needed, just walk in!

West Virginia requires that all 7th-graders show proof of Tdap and meningococcal vaccination, and 12th-graders show proof of a second meningococcal vaccination.

As we get closer to the start of the new school year fewer appointments will be available at clinics, doctors’ offices, and the health department. If your child doesn’t get the required shots in time, they won’t be allowed to attend school! Don’t wait, vaccinate!

Parents MUST bring:
• Up-to-date shot record— If you don’t have a copy check with your child’s pediatrician, the last medical office where they received shots, or their school.
• Health Insurance card(s)— Any and all insurance information including Medicaid. Uninsured patients under 19 are covered by the Vaccines for Children Program.
• Your driver’s license (or other proof of identity and address)
