The Jefferson and Berkeley County Health Departments are sponsoring a Recovery Coach Academy in Martinsburg, August 28th to September 1, 2017. 

What is A Recovery Coach?

Anyone interested in promoting recovery by removing barriers and obstacles to recovery and serving as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or already in recovery. Recovery Coaching is a self-directed, strengths based model that empowers the recoveree to understand that recovery is possible. 
Recovery Coach Academy is a five-day training to train individuals to be Recovery Coaches. The training will be held August 28 – Sept 1, 2017 from 9 AM – 4:30 PM at the Berkeley County Health Department, 122 Waverly Court Martinsburg WV 25403. Lunch will be on your own.

Thanks to funding from the Eastern WV Community Foundation, there is no cost to students for this course. In order to take the class the person has to have a desire to help people find recovery, they do not have to be in Recovery from addiction.
